Thanks SOOOOOO much for these! Spent from 1959 - 1969 here a lot. My grandparents owned the 16 acres on top of what is now called Lavelle Lane - long before that existed. They bought the land in 1935, and converted the tiny hunting shack into a year round residence by the late 50's, all by the work of my grandfather and some relatives. They moved in year round about 1962, when he retired.I was just up there the other day driving around and trying to explain the whole story to my betrothed, and now I found these photos of just barely a mile away. Fished and swam at Ballard in the 60's - we all probably met there in the summers. Unbelievable, and greatly appreciated. I will be looking for photos of the very same area and posting ASAP. Thank you so very much!
Just think, Tom, you may have swum in the lake the very day these pictures were taken!
